BIO
I am Rev Dr. Travis "Hood Scholar" Harris. I'm a father, HBCU professor and the Director of Black Revolutionary Education for the International Black Freedom Alliance and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Hip Hop Studies. I'm a Black dude from the hood who love my people and have given my life to the #BlackFreedomMovement. Shout out to my mom, because I have been working in the community since I was 6. I've been grindin in the freedom struggle, from getting Black people out of jail to protesting on the front lines to writing policy in order to make systemic change. I'm a hustler. I design things and sell my own shirts. I'm also an author and a professional editor. At the end of the day, all I want is for Black people all over the world to be free.

Tell All Story Coming Out
Ayyyyee yoooo! This book is finally about to come out. I'm almost finish writing my tell all book about what happened to me as an Assistant Professor in the Department of African American Studies at VCU. On October 28, 2019, I was unjustly removed from teaching. This book will tell the whole story, from me being hyped about getting the job to the lowest point of my life when I wanted to end it all.
